Head & Shoulders
Head & Shoulders has remained an iconic and easily recognizable brand, but there was missing something. Rather than reinventing the already iconic brand, I decided to preserve its legacy while elevating it at the same time.
While the original Head & Shoulders has remained an iconic product in people’s everyday lives, their packaging and overall branding didn’t reflect that. In order to elevate the brand without reinventing it, I focused on the the product’s key elements: Balancing, Active, Inviting, Therapeutic, Luminous, and Relieving.

Product Line
The product line includes four different products: Shampoo, Conditioner, a Hair Mask, and a Hair Serum.
The Ridges
The original Head & Shoulders packaging heavily emphasizes the effectiveness of the product. Saying that it’s “America’s #1 Dandruff Shampoo”, it’s clinically proven, and even a label that says “FEEL IT WORK”. Instead of just saying the product works, the shampoo and conditioner bottles feature ridges along the sides of the bottle. Giving the user a tactile experience while using the product, that resembles hair, but also acting as an extra grip while holding it in the shower.To maintain the ridges throughout all products, the ridge lines are featured as graphics on the product boxes and on the glass dropper.
